Forex Specialist Intern

VCG's Incubator program gives college students and recent graduates an opportunity to begin a career in the Foreign Exchange investment industry. Participants perform research and develop an extensive base of knowledge across the spectrum of Foreign Exchange (forex) Investment Management disciplines. This knowledge base is called upon for creation of our managed forex trading programs, client admin/support and website support of our blogs, forums, webinars and coaching services for investors and self-directed traders. As the participant develops a specialization, he or she moves to a research and knowledge development role for that topic. VCG's Incubator Program invest in the lives of emerging professionals while also building a strong team of top-notch leaders and portfolio managers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Forex Specialist Intern researches and develops an extensive base of knowledge and expertise on various forex topics. This knowledge base will be called upon for content to be used in our website, blogs and support of our forums, webinars and coaching services.

This department will be staffed using our Incubator Program. Through this program, we acquire young (in terms of forex knowledge) talent and train them on a wide range of investment topics related to the investment management and foreign exchange market. As each person develops a knack for a specific topic, they are moved to a full-time research and knowledge development role for that specific topic. They then are called on to provide expertise for our ebooks, blog write ups, forum postings, investor presentations and self-directed coaching services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forex Investment Management Knowledge Research and Development

• Become an expert in Forex Investment Management and continually strive to expand own knowledge set.
• Develop an understanding of what information is relevant and may be useful to our business and our investors, distinguishing our managed trading programs from the thousands of other investment opportunities available.
• Build a network of industry contacts that can be called upon for additional information, webinars and content when needed.
• Work with team leader to identify a specific area of forex investment management on which to focus and become an "expert".

Educational Product Contributions (starting after training period)

• Under the direction of the department and company leaders, develop outlines for coursework and other materials.
• Work with the Content team to develop the outlines into courses or other materials. This includes providing written explanations, recorded interview-style answers to questions about a specific topic, screen capture video tutorials, PowerPoint presentations and screen shots to the content team to help them mold your contributions into final student-facing pieces.

Consulting / Educational Services (starting after training period and licensing)

• Moderate and actively participate in assigned investor presentations
• Work one-on-one with assigned clients and client groups, coaching them through the steps of opening a brokerage account, funding and allocating assets. This may be via direct face to face meeting, email communications or phone conversations.
• Provide content and narration and/or coordinate the inclusion of industry contacts for webinars and LIVE events.

Team Involvement

• Become an active team player working closely with the leader and other members of the Incubator team.
• Participate in strategic planning, bringing to the table an expertise in Forex Investment Management and an insight into client needs and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have or be pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, marketing, communications or a related field - or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and in speech.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and posses excellent time management skills.
• Positive outlook and ability to influence and persuade others in a positive manner.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be capable of loving the job.

PREFERRED QUALITIES:

Education or experience in finance or marketing, foreign exchange (forex), e-commerce, advertising, or technical products & services industries.

By choosing an area of expertise within Forex Investment Management, you have great potential for advancement within VCG as an Assistant Trader, Investment Consultant, a writer or a member/manager of our Forex Investment Management administrative or web development staff.

COMPENSATION

This is an unpaid internship. Through this incubator program, we will select the best of the pack for full time or part time roles, based on the area of expertise. Our Consultants will be compensated via an attractive profit share. In addition, other participants chosen to pursue full time employment in other areas of the firm may also receive a profit share opportunity to share in the revenue that they help to generate for the firm.
